Hi I wonder if anyone might be able to help me as I am truly out of ideas. I did a run last Tuesday and tried to upload it on the Wednesday. I had just uploaded about a months worth of training to garmin connect on the Tuesday. The Tuesday run however, didn't display any map or graph data (heart rate, cadence). Since then I have been unable to upload any runs. I have tried the following; 1. deleted the (possibly) corrupt file. 2. Tried manually adding the runs via USB (but no recent runs are available to select and when I select upload any new activities it says none found). 3. Tried doing a dummy run by recording new runs of a few minutes and selecting force send to computer (this has always solved any problems in the past for me). 4. I have tried uploading via garmin express instead of ant agent (on another computer). In between I have recorded new runs to force it to upload. I have up to date software. This is the first time I have hit a complete brick wall like this. Also it hasn't uploaded to garmin training centre either since the run last Tuesday that was possibly corrupt. Thanks for reading, I'm out of ideas!
Quick update. I deleted all old activities off the 405 (which meant losing the last weeks data) to see if it would upload. However I also realised (and I briefly saw this Saturday after running) my watch displayed the compass for a while. I went to settings and turned off the 'go home' which was on. This may explain why when it was transferring via the antagent that it would transfer activities, then laps, then get stuck for ages on 'tracks' which I don't remember it doing. Point being I'm fairly sure I didn't need to delete the activities and had I noticed the compass (go home) was on I would have just switched this off and there would have been no problem. Today it uploaded in seconds, no problems. Wish I had waited before deleting stuff but lesson learned, must have hit this go home/location option by mistake last week.
