FIT File Tools site

I'm a developer and an avid Garmin bike computer user (Edge 500, 510, and hopefully 1k soon!). Over the years I've written a few tools to work with my FIT files. I recently put these tools on a site so others can benefit from them. The site is at https://www.fitfiletools.com. Feel free to send any comments or feature requests. Thanks!
  • Hello kcfwpi,

I just sent a message on fitfiletools to you, but later I thought that I would look for the developer here in the forum, and to my biggest shock I not just found you posting here about fifiletools 7-8 years ago, but I see that you got no comments or feature request. Then here is mine. It is written implicitly only in the message below, but explicitly saying it, actually I would like to see more fields in the merged file. I am repeating my message here:

"It is quite evident that when you merge two or more .fit files not all of the fields are additive, so I had been prepared that eg. there would be no training effect in the merged file (note: although maybe the max of TEs could be saved, it would not mean a distortion). On the other hand there are other fields like Load, which could be added, but are lost during the merge.

It is only, because when you built up this facility those fields did not exist yet, or is it your policy to focus only on the main data fields?"
