hi all

I read that there was an internal server error problem going around at the moment. I had this problem yesterday

That problem seems to have stopped but now all i get is a blank blue screen with this in the search bar

http://connect.garmin.com/modern/

it does not load passed this point any ideas ??

cheers
  • Really surprised but a computer shutdown and restart seems to have fixed the "Chrome" problem for me too. Guessing some Chrome process kept something in memory that acted poorly with the recent site changes. Logout might have had same effect but I didn't try it first.
  • Keep things simple so we use your products without having to spend hours messing about attempting to make it work.

Most of us don't, I've never had any real issue in years of using Garmin products. When I did it was once a fault with drivers on my laptop, and a few others were faults with my PC. Problem is everyone 'blames Garmin' rather than suspect their own equipment.

Well, my PC must be as whacktarded as everyone else's is.

Connect Modern seems to be working OK, but the Classic version's main/front page will not load.

The error message reads: Site Error: Unable to Load Site Preferences; No Preferences Found

I can back door into the Classic Dashboard page from the Garmin.com (products website) link at the bottom of the pages on that website and then add the Dashboard page as a favorite and load Classic from there.

Please tell me what is suddenly wrong with my computer that wasn't wrong with it two days ago. Thanks.

Exactly my point all along !! Connect is working for me today and I have done absolutely nothing different to any other day.
  • Except possibly switching your PC off then on again? And who knows what problems your ISP might have been having?

This error is generally a result of a server overload somewhere, should disappear all by itself. It's like lots of errors on the internet, eg 404 errors and the like, they come and go. My Connect Classic link is working perfectly, as is Modern.
