Modern is working fine for me as is the link in the first post. You need to check your PC/ISP as the issue doesn't seem to be at the Garmin end.

To tell me its my problem after an internal server error that went on for 2 days then this for 3 days on a computer that has no issues loading a million other web pages plus for a month connect worked fine is laughable
  • Well as I said it's working for me and seems resolved for many others. Feel free to draw your own conclusions.

The modern site is unavailable (just a blank blue frame). This has been the case for a few days now, on and off (but mostly on). There have been numerous posts to facebook and tweets about this, and very little acknowledgement from Garmin. The customer service is awful, probably the worst I've ever seen. This issue is ongoing for most everyone.

To get around the problem, you can use the old site. Just remove /modern from the site address in the browser. For example, http://connect.garmin.com/activities instead of http://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities. Not sure why Garmin isn't telling anyone about this workaround.
  • It's simply incorrect to say it's unavailable ... I've just logged onto it!

Even if all you get is the blue frame you probably have the 4 icons down the left hand side, click on the one that looks like a head (settings) and select 'Switch to classic temporarily'.

Please see my posts above, if you're getting this error it's more than likely something in your PC is blocking the download. Note I'm using IE11, if you're not try that. If it works then there is an issue with your web browser.

I managed to get garmin connect loading on Internet Explorer and Firefox. It seems to have stopped working on Chrome, which I have mainly been using. Maybe I need to adjust some of my Chrome settings.
  • Hey, it's now working again on Chrome! And I didn't change any settings!;)

It's hit and miss for me. I'm also using Chrome. If I fire up the ANT connect and then click on the modern link in the #1 entry it will sync almost immediately. Perhaps someone at Garmin needs to look at Chrome's compatibility as it seems to be browser related?

same problem here. Tried all sorts of attempts to connect/force etc. The lack of response from garmin shows that they have got a problem. I cannot think of any piece of technology that has failed to do what it is supposed to do as much as my 410. If garmin made cars we would be better off walking. Message to garmin: Keep things simple so we use your products without having to spend hours messing about attempting to make it work. I would never buy a garmin product agian. Use polar, much more reliable
