Garmin Connect Authentication Required

I use the latest version of Firefox. Each time I try to load Garmin Connect I can see my information under the older style Garmen Connect. Then suddenly a window pops up stating "Authentication required, A username and password are being requested by http://connect.garmin.com. The site says: "Authorized Users Only!" I will type in my username and password and immediately get bumped to a page stating an internal server error occurred.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yep. Didn't re-enter any details though just in case it was dodgy.

Lots of other people seem to be having the same problem. For me it started less than an hour ago when I'd actually been logged in for a while editing new activities. I'm bored with it now and will try again later when the Garmin developers have had a chance to fix it.
  • Thanks for the replies. Relieved to know it's not an issue with my computer. Will check back a little later on today and hope Garmin has the issue resolved by then.

    I'm having the same problem.

    "Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS) Server at connect.garmin.com Port 80"

11:50 MST 11/05/2014 - Same Here. Evidently, Garmin is using {Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS) Server at connect.garmin.com Port 80} and their Apache Server is having issues. I tried my tablet's Garmin App and it is fine.

    What I'm seeing is:
    syncing your devices is working
mobile app is working for viewing your data (note: this is not port 80, http)
Port 80, http, is not working for viewing your data.

Hope they get it working faster than the 17 plus hours of server downtime we had last weekend.

The internal server error has been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
