Calorie difference between GC and MFP and explanation of Active Calories in GC

Hi, can someone please explain to me why Active Calories in Garmin Connect don't match the calories burned during activities using a HRM. To explain - today the only exercise I've done is a 30min walk with a HRM. The activity is coming up in Garmin Connect and say that I burned 133 calories, but under the Calories In/Calories Out section in Garmin Connect it says my Active Calories are 243. I just spent 20 minutes on the phone to one of your consultants but she had no idea what she was talking about! I've only had this device a few days and I'm a bit concerned about it's accuracy in determining calorie burn and how it is handling/reporting data, also with your tech support.

I know it says that Active = Total Calories - BMR Calories. But where is the BMR calories coming from?

Also, why are the calories left in GC so different (200) than the calories left in MFP?? I soo would be grateful if someone could explain how this all works.

Thanks,
Leisa

I check a few of my activities and calories on my watch calculated using HRM are the same as on Garmin Connect web site. I have a Garmin Forerunner 410.
