Smart sleep alarm

While the Garmin Vivofit and Vivosmart can track sleep (and even better that the Vivosmart has a silent alarm), I'd love to see a feature similar to the Sleep Cycle app in iOS and some of the Samsung software where you can set a desired wake time and, using the sleep tracker, knows when is best to wake you (i.e. at your most awake already moment).

This is similar to the Leaf sleep tracker. Essentially a smart way to wake up silently using the silent alarm but at the time that makes you feel the most refresh.
  • This would be my number one request. It works flawless on the competitors products, a feature missed with my fenix 5.
  • What if you sleep walk? :D
  • Sleep As Android will do this as a 3rd party app.

agree, I use smartwake (fenix 6 pro) and it is a kill for the battery (sleep as android)

as far as I know,  a Garmin native alarm would do this job

also running a 3rd aprty app ruins the new sleep widget's data

    happy & safe sporting

  • Are there some news if Garmin will integrate Smart Alarm in Garmin Products ? Honor is using this today in their Fitnessbands and i remember the first Mi Band had it too.  Would be great if Garmin can implement it.

Hey, I've had multiple Garmin watches but was once tempted by the Microsoft Band 2. I only used it for a couple of months before it broke but one of the cool features it had was a Smart Alarm. I set my alarm as normal. It would monitor my sleep and then wake me anytime in the 30minutes preceding the selected time based on my sleep condition- during light, not deep or REM (i think).
I work shift work and I used to wake feeling a lot less tired.
The only problem I see is that my FR645 doesn't seem to accurately record sleep status too accurately...I have 2 young kids, and wake regularly to deal with but the watch tells me I slept a solid 8-10hrs and managed to do 200-300steps.
  • Yes Smart Alarm would be great on Garmin. I think at the moment i just know about Honor that are using Smartalarm on their Fitnesstrackers. Or Android Wear, but these Watches dont make it through the night because the battery ^^

Would be so easy in Venu. If you just were able to der links heißt alarm to the Body Batery. So that when you reach 100% you will automaticaly get a normal alarm in your extrem light-sleep-phase.

Garmin would be far ahead any competitors and would once more proof its untouchable status as a sports- and health-watch. Would be so easy to program that natively and really get a use out of the bodybattery function!!!

This would be amazing for me, since I am narcoleptic. I only buy garmin devices that have the sleep tracking function, so an app to be able to wake up in the light sleep phase would be perfect. I need all the help I can get.
