Heart Rate Monitor

My Garmin Heart Rate Monitor seems to have stopped working. It hs been working up to now, no prpblems

I have a garmin 500, i have lubricated the HRM with gel, replaced the battery (waiting 60 secs before replacing). The garmin has a flashing black heart, but says device not connected. The garmin 500 is 20cm away & HRM is just under the ***, however no HRM output is showing, do you have anything i havnt tried. Can the HRM become damaged if subjected to too much sweat maybe?

Yes, just done this again now, i get the flashing black heart but no sensor details, or output. The sensor is right next to the device

You are wearing the HRM, right? It won't display data otherwise.

Sorry yes, was wearing just below the breast. Absolutely no read-out. Used Conductive Gel, new batteries etc. Any thoughts? Should i request a replacement, could it be faulty?

Remove the battery, put the battery in reverse to short the circuit and reset the HRM.
