Garmin Connect Upload Issues

I'm trying to upload 2 new workouts from my Garmin Forerunner 910XT.

The 1st issue, is that when I click on the Garmin Express icon, it asks me to install it. If I close out of that, and re-click the icon, Garmin Express opens.

After I click the 'Sync Now,' it begins to sync. But at some point, the progress bar gets stuck and doesn't move anymore. Under the details tab, it shows that its trying to download 2 workouts that have been deleted plus a workout from December 1989, but not my new 2 workouts.

I've tried to un-install and re-install Garmin Express, but it doesn't seem to work. I can only think that I'm not uninstalling it properly.

I'm using a Mac.

Thanks for your help.
  • Garmin Express by default runs in the background, so for normal use, you shouldn't even have to open it. At least for my edge500 that is true. But I connect with a usb cable so maybe it's a little different for the 910xt with an Ant stick.

When you click on the Garmin Express Icon, are you sure it's not the install package you're clicking?

Can't help you with the sync issues of the old workouts, but are you sure they are actually deleted from your device?

There is a special forum for Garmin Express and it gets more attention there from persons that would appear to be actual Garmin staff. So maybe you should look through that or post there if no one else provides a better answer on this thread.

I have the same problem. Sometimes everything uploads fine, and seems to do so automatically when I bring my watch near my mac with the ant stick in the usb port. Other times, I experience exactly what you describe above. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Very frustrating. Maybe it's a mac issue because my coach has the same watch and she seems not to have any problems (or at least hasn't mentioned any..)
