How do I view my laps in the new Garmin Connect?

Switched to the new garmin connect and using garmin express rather than ANT agent and connect for my forerunner 310xt on Sunday. The ANT agent seems to work better with the new download system but I can't see any splits in the new format and have to go to the classic view to see them. There isn't a column on the new format for laps or splits. It isn't on the FAQs and I'm sure it's a simple setting somewhere but have spent a while searching and can't find it. My GPS was off as it was laps in a pool so it's just the lap times I want to see in the new view but can't. I just get the total time.

I don't know if this is the same for swimming but on my individual activity page (cycling) I have three headers/links below the bottom graph - they are Stats Splits Segments.

I can also see splits by using the compare function in the activities list view.

(I use automatic split recording at 1 mile intervals i.e. it is using GPS)

I don't get any graphs for my swimming because I can't use the GPS as it's inside so I'm just using the forerunner as a timer, pressing the lap button every 2 lengths. My heart monitor was bought for running and isn't waterproof so I don't wear that. I input my number of lengths manually. With the old connect my lap times automatically came up but Garmin modern doesn't display them at all but they are there when I switch to classic mode. Seems a pretty big disadvantage of the new system to me.
  • Have you customised the Activity list? There are dozens of data columns available

Yes, I did this as most of the columns weren't relevant to me so were blank so I unticked them. There isn't a column header with "lap1, lap 2" etc on it though. If you don't have GPS enabled accessing your laps on Garmin modern doesn't seem possible, if I switch to classic the laps come up automatically in that activity. There is an "all stats" area in blue but when I click on that nothing changes.
