Modern View Graphs - Problem

I'm not generally opposed to changes in the way software looks but I have one major complaint about the 'Modern View' graphs. These new graphs seem always to have a right hand (Y Axis) scale starting at zero. This makes them all but useless as variations are hard to spot. For example, if your heart rate is always above 130 and rises to 160 for periods, over an hour session all the graph shows is something pretty much like a straight line. It's the same for power, cadence, etc.

The old -style graphs automatically eliminated part of the right-hand axis to emphasise the variations in outputs and were much easier to interpret.

If thsi were resolved (and perhaps there's a setting I don't know), then I'd be much more comfortable with the switch to Modern View:mad:
  • People often complained about similar issues with the classic graphs. Honestly, I have yet to see a case where the range used was so bad it actually made the graphs difficult to read. If you don't like the graph that is presented, there are two things you can do to temporarily resolve the problem. You can select the area of the graph you want to look at with your mouse, and you will get a close-up view of that area, or you can click the double-arrow icon to get a full screen graph that seems to use more reasonable values for the range.
