Can not import course from "Ride with GPS"

So there's this nice ride done in my area on "Ride with GPS". I can download it as a tcx file and a gpx file.

In Garmin Connect I open the activities window. It has a great list of what I've done. there is an "Import" on the top right. I click on that and get an import window.

It says, "Manually upload activities to Garmin Connect from your computer." and there is a browse section. underneath the browse it says, "We currently support .tcx .gpx and .fit files." NIIICCCCCEEEEEE I think.

But when I select the TCX file I downloaded from "Ride with GPS" and click on the "upload activities from file" button I get a red x and "undefined".

Same happens if I try the GPX file.

Help?

The page says Manually upload activities to Garmin Connect...; Garmin Connect supports uploading activities, and you are trying to upload a course. This is not expected to work.

Hi Wal,

I just confirmed a few times that if you export a ride as a TCX HISTORY then it will import into Garmin Connect.

Yer, Travis, it does say "manually". And that is what I'm doing. But it also says it handles file types TCX and GPX.

I do get that there may be differences between "course" and "activity" Though they both can also be TCX or GPX. I see from 'tomascosauce' below there may be an answer. I'll have to give that a try.
