Garmin Forerunner 620, Not Readable By Mac 10.10 Yosemite

Yesterday I updated my mac to the new Yosemite operating system, went for a run this morning plugged my forerunner 620 in to my mac, and got this device is not readable.

I normally use garmin express to sync, is there any solutions to this problem?
  • Your 620 appeared on the Desktop as usual but Express didn't upload anything? Upgrade Express, the current version is 3.2.19.0. The 620 didn't appear on the Desktop? Then try the usual things, different USB port, different computer (you probably can't try different cable). As I recall, the 620 can upload on its own via WiFi. If you have a WiFi network, you might want to give that a try.

My Edge 800 and VIRB Elite both worked as expected with Express on Yosemite yesterday.

As i'm working away from home, i'm unable to use wifi, so had to sync using my iphone, it charges ok in the USB port, it's unreadable by the computer now it's been upgraded to 10.10 Yosemite, it was working fine the day before but after the upgrade to Yosemite, i now get the message in the 2nd screen grab

Problem solved by doing a hard reset of the garmin forerunner 620

I just got mine to work again. I think the install of Yosemite turns off the Garmin sync. I downloaded and reinstalled Garmin connect but not sure that was necessary.
Go to the bar at the bottom of the MAC and click on the Garmin icon to restart it and see if that works.
