Run uploads with no mileage to Garmin Connect, but watch has mileage and other data

I completed a run this morning on my 620. Everything was fine, but when the watch synced with my phone all of the data was lost except elapsed time. If I look at the history on the watch there is data, but it got lost somehow. I haven't had this issue prior to this. I have a forerunner 620 uploading to an iPhone 6, I haven't had issues with the newer iOS before now either. I wanted to brag to all my TX running buds about the gnarly hills I ran in Seattle on vacation, so imagine my disappointment when my upload says 0 miles and no elevation data.
  • If I were in your position, I'd...

    • Locate the .fit file on your computer. If you are on a windows pc, it'll probably be somewhere in C:\ProgramData\Garmin.
    • If you can't find the files, you could export them from Garmin Connect. I'd consider this as a fallback since there is a chance that the file in Garmin Connect is corrupt.
    • Once you've located the file, or files, save/copy them to your desktop.
    • Delete the activity from Garmin Connect.
    • Manually upload the file on your desktop to Garmin Connect.
    • If the problem exists with the freshly uploaded activity, then the .fit file should be examined with the Fit File Repair Tool and uploaded again.
  • Hello, I have received my new fenix 2 today, went for a trial run and same issue occurred... strange thing is on the old version of garmin connect i see the details of the run ok but not on the modern version. same thing happened a couple of weeks ago with my forerunner... what is the issue? how can be fixed?

Also i noticed that comparing the trace i can see on the old version vs another similar run i did, the accuracy from the fenix 2 is worse. i checked the setting on the GPS and is set as "normal" so from what i understood is with frequency every sec.

    thanks in advance
