I've been trying to upload recent activity into Garmin Connect for the past few days. At first I got sync errors. Then my device didn't connect altogether. I've tried everything: restarting, removing the device from Garmin Connect and then reconnecting (it recognizes the device to reconnect but then doesn't recognize it after). I've erased all history from my device, excluding yesterday's run, which I don't want to lose. I've powered it off and on. Nothing helps. I've had problems with the 610 battery before and had to get the watch exchanged. Now this. I've tried connecting with Garmin support online but the Web site gives me an HTTP 500 error. I've called support during hours it should be open but a recording tells me they're closed. I thought Garmin was a respectable company but it doesn't even provide customer support, feels like a scam. This was an expensive purchase and I am extremely frustrated/disappointed. Anyone have similar experiences or advice?
Same here. Forerunner 610 hasn't been able to connect to Garmin Express since September 23rd, and won't upload: "No new activities to upload" message, despite several runs in the past three weeks. Connecting via ANT isn't... um, connecting. And direct USB cable link doesn't connect either, altho it does charge (so it's working). Resetting the watch did nothing, just made me re-set all my personal info. I keep a separate journal so nothing is lost, and the watch seems to be functioning as it should in all other respects, so I'm guessing the problem lies in the Garmin Connect software. Also downloading "latest" version hasn't made any difference. Can it be that I'm Mac and some little shift in software has broken the connection? Poop!
I've been having sync issues for a while. It usually fails, then retries, and succeeds on the third or fourth attempt, but since this weekend it takes multiple attempts (5 hours of auto retrying on Sunday) before it says sync has been successful, but the runs haven't uploaded. The runs are still on the watch but not in my account (unless they're hidden?) When I try again it says sync is up to date, nothing to upload. This has happened at the same time the web site has changed (again). Or could it be they are uploading, but to another person's account?
Hi there, I know it sounds stupid and presumably you all did it already, but when I had this problem i didn't think on restarting the device, I read it in a forum and after that it happened only once more, I restarted the device again, and it never happened again.... just to share my experience with this problem.
