Can't connect MyFitnessPal

Hi, I am having trouble getting Garmin Connect to sync with MyFitnessPal. I have tried doing it through both GC and MFP. In MFP, when I click connect to GC it logs into my account, but it is not connected and no data shows in either GC or MFP. Similarly if I try in GC it says Unable to Sync Right now we aren't able to sync with your MyFitnessPal account. It looks like something temporary, so please try again later. This has been going on for days now. Can anyone shed some light??

Having a similar issue. There is simply no interface - that I can find - in the Garmin Connect UI for establishing connections to third-party services. I just started using a Vivosmart and while I absolutely love the device, I am extremely unimpressed with the Garmin software ecosystem. The sleep graph in particular is not very useful, imo. Time in bed != time slept. Sigh.

Update: Ok, here's something for you all to try. Open your GC dashboard and make sure you have the Calories In/Out panel activated. In that panel, click the the gear icon and choose to disconnect your MyFitnessPal account, and then reconnect. At that point it may seem to hang while syncing, so just refresh the page. I now see updated calorie info on my Dashboard.

I may not have been sufficiently clear, but you need to do this on the Web dashboard, not from a mobile app.

I'm having this problem too, and there is no gear icon on the web dashboard. I tried this from tablet and laptop. I do see the gear on other pages, but it is not there on this page.

Just in case there' s any confusion, here's a descriptive image:

Ensure that you have the "Calories In/Out" panel activated on your dashboard.

I see what my problem was. I have to use garmin connect from a desktop only in order to get the gear to show up.
  • Hmm, I tried the disconnect / reconnect thing but still no sync for me. It was working fine until a few days ago. Hope they fix it soon!
