Disabled Elev Corrections – Now What?

I just recently got a Forerunner 10 and after looking mine run tonight on Garmin Connect I decided to see what would happen if I disabled elevation corrections. To my horror, the elevation chart/data disappeared with absolutely no apparent way to get it back and unfortunately zero warning that I would lose any data.

I'm hoping someone can ease my fears of lost data and point me in the proper direction to get the elevation chart to show back up.

Hello James,

Did you try to Enable the Elev Corrections again?

Open that ride in Connect and try "Export" TCX to a folder in My Documents.

Then attach that file to a post here and I will check to see if it has elevations.

Just a quick update... I was able to export the run and re-import it and the elevation showed back up. There was definitely a moment of nervousness doing this, as I had to delete the run from Garmin Connect first before importing it, but all is well now.

Glad you worked it out. It does seem very odd that the whole profile disappeared.

Hello James,

I suspected that your original file had no elevations and it appears that that is the case.
