I hope this is the right Forum!
I have a BMW Navigator IV GPS which I believe uses the same operating system as the Garmin 660. I have the following questions regarding the GPS's memory:
1. How do I clear ALL previously Imported Routes and Waypoints from the My Data File in the GPS? I no longer need these Routes and Waypoints and they are taking up much needed memory. I've Deleted all of the Routes and Waypoints from the GPS in an effort to clear-up memory by selecting Where To>Custom Routes>Select Route>Delete. The Route is now Deleted from Where To but it is still in the My Data file when I go Tools>My Data>Import>Routes, as is every other Route I've ever Imported. How do I clear the My Data File in the GPS of ALL Routes and Waypoints? I've tried sending all my .gpx files on my Mac computer to Trash but this doesn't seem to make a difference.
2. When I Open the GPS's files while connected to my Mac I see two identical City Navigator map files. Can I move one of these files to Trash? And if I do, will that free-up some memory in the GPS?
3. How do I check the amount of memory being used in the GPS? I stumbled upon this info once but I can't remember how.
