SYnC operations hangs infinitely.

HI folks,
I am a new user.
I've downloaded the Garmin Express and paired the device successfully.
I went for a walk and want to sync the steps.
I've followed the following steps.

1) Connected the ANT USB in my laptop.
2) Took of the vivofit and put next to the ANT stick.
3) pressed few times the button on the vivofit so I see the "SYnC" on the screen.
4) I've kept these items on the desk from last 2 hours or more but I do not see any thing.
( I tried pressing the button of Vivofit but no use, it shows SYnC infinitely.

Could any one please help in fixing this issue ?

I have been having an issue with my vivosmart syncing since the software up date. I am wondering if it is something on Garmin's end.
