Can you explain why you started with them locked but now want them unlocked? I'm only on 18 activities, but maybe I should start unlocked now so I don't end up in your boat?
They need to be unlocked to make them accessible to others or to show in segment rankings. Perhaps for other purposes, too, but I'm not sure about that.
There are downsides, too, of course. Your privacy. And that someone could detect where you live and when you might not be home from where your rides start and when you typically leave.
For others reading this, the recent post referred to by Travis.Vitek discusses the possibility of using a Python script, whatever that is, to accomplish the task. For those, like me, who are likely not skilled or patient enough for that approach, the answer is that Garmin Connect does not provide a way to do a bulk unlock of all locked activities. You need to do them a page at a time (actually, I believe, an activity at a time) with "Quick" Edit. In this instance, not so quick.
