Publishing your Garmin Connect calendar

I've searched everywhere for a solution to this, hopefully someone can help with the successful work around.

Within Garmin Connect and the full calendar option view it gives you the option to Publish your calendar.

When I do publish my calendar and try to add it either iCloud (using either the web interface, BusyCal or Apple Calendars) and through my separate Google account I can't get it to sync in anyway at all.

Anyone know the secret sauce to get it working?

Or is it just another example of Garmin Connect being poorly developed?
  • I have no problems adding the calendar to Google Calendar or a Outlook Calendar. In Google Calendar, you just click the little down arrow next to the words Other Calendars and then click Add by URL and enter the URL of your calendar.

I have the same issue. The calendar URL returns an HTTP 204 No Content so there is nothing for your calendar to add.

When I follow the below I get the following error:

    Settings Error
The address that you provided did not contain a calendar in a valid iCal or GData format.

A question to all: Does anyone from Garmin tech support actually monitor these boards and offer help?

The calendar only publishes workouts (a planned training schedule), not activities. If you have no workouts on your calendar, then it will be empty. Your calendar shows no workouts, so the 204 error is expected.

That is probably the correct answer, but honestly, why then does the "share" button appear in the Calendar section?
