I often logout of Garmin Connect to reproduce problems that people are reporting, can confirm that it has logged me out of the forums. I'm not sure how long it has been this way, but I can say with a high degree of certainty that it was this way in February.
If I remember correctly, I started out with a Garmin Connect account. Eventually I came to the forums and just signed in using my existing username and password.
