If this question has been asked previously, please direct me.
In Classic I am able to print out an activity including the graphs, heart rate etc. I cannot find where this is possible in Modern, does the facility still exist?

    Hello Gridironman,

Yes I have used it but based on your comment I just opened a run in Modern that was recorded with a FR305 using a HRM.
Everything looked good in the preview but I did not actually print the 3 sheets from the preview.
Sheet 1 had the map and 3 profiles (graphs).
Sheet 2 had the max and min data, calories, gain, etc.
Sheet 3 had my comments and a picture of my device.

I have an Epson printer, large format, Workforce 1100, running on WinXP SP3.

Now that I have found how to print out an event, I make this observation; I only required to print out the heart rate graphic, it is certainly not the best quality, however it stretches across the full width of the page unlike the Classic, this suited my purpose as it provides a far better illustration of the length of the peaks and troughs.

    1 Page Activity Print ??

Hi There , I have been holding out with the old classic Garmin webpage because i use the Activity page print out. The one page prints my whole activity , all my stats and pace etc , nice and easy for me to file.

The modern website prints 3 pages with the info stretched across all three

PLEASE PLEASE , can we have an activity report print button with a 1 page report , so i can print all my results / pace / map per activity on a single page.
This is so important to me , and i cant switch to Modern without it !!
I looked in the reports section - no print per activity ??

    Otherwise , modern website rocks

    Thanks
  • Firefox WebToPDF plugin/addon will save the activity to PDF where you can print to your heart's content.
Thats the only way around it I've found.
Load up activity, right click, WebtoPDF, Save as PDF
  • Does not print

I tried printing a activity but all I got was a single sheet with the activity number on top. nothing else. How do I print the metrics and graphs?
  • Take a screenshot, save it as an image file, and then print that instead.

That also has the advantage of being able to not waste toner (or ink) on redundant information and other things you don't want to see on paper, by cropping the image before printing.
  • Thanks. I think you are right. Also, I just tried the snipping tool and it works fairly well. I have a friend who needs to take the heart graph to his doctor and the snipping tool can capture that fairly well. What was Garmin thinking when they eliminated the print function the old interface had?
  • Screen print did not work

Unfortunately, screen print will not work on Windows 10. The only file type options for saving are htm and html. I recall windows used to have a jpg and png option. Strange.

Personally, given the limitations of Garmin Connect online (at least in regard to printing) and what I know of my GP's practice (i.e. all the desk computers have Internet access), I'd just set the privacy settings on select activities appropriately and share their URLs with my doctors, if I want to show them any aspect of the activity records. Alternatively, I could bring one of my many tablet devices – some of which have built-in cellular mobile network data access, and others can just connect to the Internet over Wi-Fi using my mobile handset as a ‘hotspot’ if need be.

Unfortunately, screen print will not work on Windows 10.
I use IrfanView, which is free for personal use, for taking screenshots on Windows computers.

Apparently it does - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings/taking-screenshots-with-windows-10/caf026a0-8fd3-4a5f-9eb2-e175b5f475dd and here http://www.windowscentral.com/how-take-screenshot-windows-10

All you have to do is search on the interweb thingy...
