Edit Multisport activities

Hi,

I tried the search function but could not find anything to resolve my problem..

I have done a triathlon on the weekend and uploaded it to Garmin Connect. I really like that it now shows u as a single event and not as 5 individual activities as before (swim, bike, run and 2 transitions).

My problem is however that I cannot edit the workout. Like so many times I forgot to press lap after the triathlon and now my total time is way too long. I tried to use the edit function and just change the time (how I can do it with normal activities) but my changes are not being saved.

I am not sure if that's a bug, was done by intention or I simply make a mistake but does anyone have a solution on this?

Any help is really welcome!

Thanks

OtterJohn - right! gotcha! I have the hotv files sorted. Can you give me the details (start time / duration / distance etc) of the BF1 file - I am going to try something and see if it works.

    cheers

kiwimtnbkr Thanks!! The BF file looks great! The HOTV file throws the "you've already uploaded this file" error, but I only have the individual activities.

OtterJohn - if you uploaded the individual activities then you will have to delete them before you can upload the fixed file.

    cheers

    kiwimtnbkr Bingo, that worked!

I have four more events which I need to combine (for tris recorded on different devices or with manual entries); what is the best tutorial for the correction tool that you'd recommend?
  • It looks like I am having the same problem as many of those above. It appears as though I hit the lap button mid-swim during a triathlon. This obviously got everything off track. I realized this as I was headed out on the bike. My solution at the time was to cycle through all the laps. Save it. Start a new triathlon activity. Cycle through the laps until I got to the bike. The thought was that if I can at least get the data, then hopefully this can be pieced together after. I tried a few things so far but merging activities is not working for me. Can someone please help? I have uploaded the two files and official times. Would really appreciate any assistance.

  • Mike,

I really appreciate you taking the time to work on this. I feel guilty for even asking. But i looked at the file you created. It appears you were able to correct the 347875492.fit file. This is the one that had the bike, T2, and the run. The other file, 3467872967.fit, is the file with the swim and T1. Would it be possible to now combine these two files? Again, super cool that you are able to help all of us out.

dhunterfl - the fixed file was a combination of the two fit files that you provided. Is something not quite right?

    cheers
