I realize that the unit will not be 100 percent accurate, however I have been receiving a large amount of steps while standing or sitting still, and have hit my goal multiple times while driving. Is this a known issue, and will it be addressed?
The VivoFit detects steps by the movement of your arms. If you are moving your arms, the device can interpret the motions as a walking arm swing. So yet, it is a known issue; the device is working as expected. There is already a support article about this.
