Okay, I was injured (basically run over by a bus on my bike two weeks ago tomorrow) but not nearly as bad as my bike, which was destroyed. Jumping off at the last second saved my life, I'm sure, though the bus still hit me since I couldn't completely avoid it after jumping off.
Anyway, today was my first ride since, and since I am still sore and have some aches and pains, I kept the ride short and pretty slow, averaging about 12.8 MPH over about 28 miles. Anyway, I looked at the calories burned and according to the Edge 1000, it was...wait for it...64.
lol Not for anything, but the ride was mellow, as I said. Average cadence was only 40 RPM and my average heartrate was a pretty low 123 bpm. But in around 2 hours of riding, there is no way I could have burned only 64 calories, even taking it really easy like that. ***, the average person burns more calories like that in his sleep. Any idea what's going on here?
