running and working out

i just bought a Forerunner 620 and would like to know how to manage a workout were i first do my running and then I do some weights so it keeps recording the time and calories but it does not affect my running metrics.

  • You can't. From the time you press Start until you press Stop is considered to be a single activity and that activity has only one type. Is there some reason you are opposed to creating one activity for your run and another for weights?
