g'day,im having some issues with the gps unit listed above ,when the vehicles ignition is switched on the unit doesn't always power up it has to be manually started by holding down the power button on the gps,even though the red indicator light on the plug that goes into the accessories socket light up showing that there is power there ,and once it turns on the battery indicator on the gps screen shows that it is being charged ?
and the other issue is this,if I charge the battery fully over night and the next day it is only on for probably 20 minutes maximum,by the following afternoon it is down to less than 30% its like its not shutting down fully even though it does the 15 second countdown and the screen goes blank.this is the second unit,the first was replaced by garmin after having the same issues as this one.
today is the second call ive made to garmin regarding this unit and its fault,and im still not sure what the outcome will be???
has anyone else had these issues??? this is the 4th Garmin gps I've owned, never had any major issues with the previous units which is why I have stuck with this brand, maybe I should have given tomtom my money this time! :confused:
