TCX / GPX without timestamps

All my rides are uploaded to GarminConnect
And contain detailed information.
Now i want to analyze my rides with tools like STRAVA.
Most of my rides are uploaded without problem to Strava throug Garmin Connect
But a few rides don't.
So i tried to upload these rides manually.
First I download (exportfunct) from the dashboard in TCXformat.
When I upload the TCXfile to Strava it failes because there is no time information in the file.
Very strange because earlier I connected Altifondo to my Garmin account.
And this app can read the detailed data (from the same ride) without problem.
Perhaps somebody can help me fixing this problem.

SOLUTION:
The new interface has the possibility to export a ride to fit.
This file contains all the original timestamps.
  • Personally I'd upload my ride to Strava from the device. I don't know this for sure, but I suspect the files you export from Garmin Connect may not contain all the data that the original upload contained.

I always save my original files from my device to a folder on one of my computers hard drives. That way I know I'll always have my data just in case Garmin changes their mind about who owns it. In fact I back up every file from my device just in case I ever need them.

So do I. They also go on multiple PC's and get backed up multiple times on muliple external HD's and DVD's. If the data is important to you then you need to keep it.

IMO if you upload anything to the internet it is no longer yours. I don't care how "private" or "secure" you're told it is. It isn't.

You would be correct - this pic shows the difference between what info is contained in a .fit file and what info will appear in a .tcx file if an export from GC is done.

    cheers
