Import runs from Garmin Connect to Endomondo

Hello,

I have a Garmin 410 forerunner.

My runs are uploaded to Garmin Connect.

However, I want to import my Garmin data into Endomondo. I click on "Import from Garmin" but I get the following error:

"Garmin browser plugin not found

Before you can import data from your Garmin device you must first install the Garmin Communicator Plugin.

If using Internet Explorer, please notice if there is a bar at the top of the page prompting you to allow the website to run the Garmin Communicator Plugin.

If you are using Forerunner 405 or a similar Garmin device that connects to your computer using wireless, you will also need Garmin ANT Agent."

I click on the link for the "Garmin Communicator Plugin" and see that it is alreasy installed. I assume my Garmin ANT Agent is ok as my runs get uploaded automatically.

Can you advise on what I need to change to import my garmin data to Endomondo?
  • Seems to me that if everything is working at the Garmin end, then the conversation needs to be with Endomondo.

Note that Garmin is deprecating the Garmin Communicator Plugin and you will have to move to Garmin Express and the new Garmin Connect. Garmin Expresses stores the files in a different location than Ant Agent. Remember, Garmin imports its data to Garmin.

Talk to Endomondo about how to get your data over to them. Why should Garmin be interested in helping? It's up to Endomondo to work out how to interface with Garmin.

A search throughout the forum posts would be recommended too.

    Hi Noel,

Have a read of this post - it may contain some info that will be useful to you.

    cheers

  • If you do get the Communicator Plugin working, it will only help to transfer activities that are on your computer already, and it will require manual uploading of all future activities as well.

If this is something you want to have working automatically moving forward, then I'd highly suggest having a look at Tapiriik. It can sync data to and from many different services, and it is free if you don't mind clicking a link to initiate the transfers. It will also pull all of your existing data, so you will get all of your history.
