Manual weight entry no longer takes period (.) or comma (,) to mark the decimal point

Dear Garmin,
Last time I manually entered my weight was 2014/04/17 and I was able to entered it with a period (.) like this xxx.x
When I tried to do it today I got the pop-up "The page at connect.garmin.com says: You've entered an invalid character. Please enter a valid value."
When I try to do it with a comma (,) like this xxx,x I get this message: "The page at connect.garmin.com says: Bad Request"
The only way I can enter is when I drop the decimal point like this xxx
I observed the same behavior in Chrome and Firefox.
Please fix it.
Thanks
Hubert

Same problem here IT IS ANNOYING AS HELL!! both in modern and in classic mode it seems impossible.
By the way the modern mode SUCKS!! it´s cumbersome unintuitive and half of the features have bugs. I´m seriously thinking to switch back to Polar or going with the apple watch!!
Do us all a favor and fix this will ya!!

  • This is very annoying and i don't understand why garmin takes so long to solve this simple issues.

Is there a work arround for this problem. Go to your settings on your profile, and in the Personal Information you can change the Weight value.
  • Either the issue is fixed or it only occurs for people with certain browsers or profile settings, because I cannot reproduce the problem at all. I'm using Chrome on Windows 7. I tried using both Metric and Statute units in English, Italian, and German languages using the decimal point in all cases.

    Really it´s simple, fix it

Ok Travis congratulations, but the problem is that customers are us and not the developers.

I tried to manually insert the weight in three different browsers on Mac: Chrome, Safari, Firefox. Also Chrome in Windows 8 ... and does not work.

I have more browsers and operative system but I guess I am not the person to do the tests.

I think it's a problem that should be resolved soon Garmin.

    You are so right!
more : it works if do it by modifiyng your weight in your profile -> personnal informations !

Comme on Garmin, correct this bug please...
  • Two things. First, if you want the folks at Garmin to see your complaints, you need to contact them directly. Posting on these forums will not get their attentions. Second, it seems that if you are able to discover the cause of the actual problem and pass that information on the the support staff, your chances of getting a solution are much higher.

I'm not saying that you're doing anything wrong. I'm simply indicating that I can't reproduce the problem. Now you can choose to ignore that bit of information, or you can try to discover the common thread that affects everyone that isn't able to enter weight information.

You are right : we are too kind.
Please people, open a support case to garmin support (http://www.garmin.com/us/support/) each one individually for this problem.
    I just did it.
Maybe they will understand that there is a bug somewhere.
And sorry : no, this is not our job to find where is this bug, even though i do that every day at work...

Same for me, I can only input my weight with precision 1 kg. It's crazy. It's doesn't works both on IE on Windows 8.1 and on IE on Windows Phone 8.1.
