Same ride, different elevation gain...

Hi all,

New to the forum, and Garmin. I have an Edge 400, and I am getting totally different
readings. Last week, I did a short ride. Elevation gain said 348 ft. Just got home from
the SAME EXACT RIDE, and my elevation gain was 302 ft... Don't get me started with
what Map My Ride said LoL

What gives? Is the Garmin GPS better than the Note 3 GPS? Which is trustworthy?

Do the same ride 10 times with your Edge and with the mapmyride app on your Galaxy Note 3, then tell us which has the smallest standard deviation and which is more reasonable for use as a cycling computer.
