Vertical Oscillation and Ground Contact Time in Hike activity type

I am using forerunner 620
Vertical Oscillation and Ground Contact Time are hide when I switch the Activity Type of my workout to "Hike". Can Garmin keep them visible for hike? Thanks.

I'm curious. Why these data have to be hide for hiking? We also run during some sections.

Then you're not hiking, you're trail running.

Just curious, how you guys use VO and GCT in training? I wonder if I should want these new metrics and would buy new device because of that.
