New activity not appearing in Garmin Connect - FR910XT

Garmin Express shows the activity as uploading and able to be viewed but the activity does not appear in Garmin Connect. I have tried a manual upload in Classic which has also been unsuccessful.

Since switching to Garmin Express and Garmin Connect Modern I have had a run of issues which I did not experience with the old Ant Agent and Classic Garmin Connect.

I understand the need to try to improve and modernize your platform but to achieve this while maintaining reliability and a user friendly environment you need to ensure that before you go to market with such changes you have these issue's sorted first. Or at least respond when issue's are brought to your attention as I am yet to receive any correspondence from messages I have sent to your support.
  • Hi Rosshenrys. Not sure what the issue is there, when I choose the file and click convert it automatically converts the file and the fixed.fit file is in my downloads folder ready to be imported into Garmin Connect.

I am on a PC not a Mac so that could be the difference. It also suggests on that page that you can email the .fit file to the email address at the bottom of the page and get it fixed that way.

I'm having the same problem. I see the run on my watch under history, with all the details, but it will not upload. I've tried using Express, Garmin Plugin, and Strava but none will work. Express always tells me "Last synced (current time/date) View Data at Garmin Connect". So, Express says everything is fine and it uploaded, but it's not there.

I switched to Classic view on GC and decided to "upload selected activities on device". It only shows runs leading up to May. Why? Where's all the other ones it uploaded?

Something weird is going on and it's very disappointing. I haven't had any problems until now. I would give fixing the .fit file a try but I can't get the activity off of the device. Only old runs are in the C:\ProgramData\Garmin\GarminConnect folder.

Any other advice here? I can read all the data on the watch from my run yesterday but I can't get it off.

    *****EDIT*****
For anyone else having this problem, I tried everything I could think of and was able to fix it by doing the following:
    On your watch
    Press Mode > History
Scroll down to "transfer all" (note that before I did this, I went to "delete > delete old" to delete all activities over 1 month old since I had a lot)
    Press enter to transfer all
Wait for Garmin Express to read watch
It will transfer all runs and upload them -- it ended up finally reading mine and uploaded it.
  • Thanks for the advice, transfer all has helped me in the past too.

This wouldn't have helped me in this situation though as it was a corrupt file that I had in the end. Not sure how/why it was corrupt but luckily I was able to fix it with the repair tool as I mentioned in this forum.

PARASITEARTIST, thanks so much - your solution fixed my problem of an activity that refused to transfer to Connect. Nice work!
  • I am having the same problem as MATTW33 and have tried the TRAVIS.VIYEK fix but unfortunately it has not worked for me.

I am using a Garmin Edge 500 with Garmin Connect using Chrome.

Any other idea's on how to fix this?
  • After advice from this forum I have managed to fix the .fit file I was having an issue with and it was very simple.

    1. Go to here: http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/
    2. Locate the file in the Garmin Connect folder at the following path: \ProgramData\Garmin\GarminConnect
    3. Once you have uploaded the file click 'convert to _autofix.fit file'
    4. Import converted file into Garmin Connect

Very simple and great to now be able to view and edit the activity.

    PTRGIBBONS have you tried this?
