Sharing an activity on social networks

I have just uploaded my first activity to Garmin Connect, and I hoped to share it on my Facebook page, but when I go into the activity the share icon is greyed out and therefore does not do anything. I thought this may be due to a privacy setting so I went on to my profile and set the privacy to everyone, but it still doesn't work. Also tried logging out and back in again etc etc. Am I missing something here, or is there currently a fault on the website?
  • If the Share button is greyed out, you need to change the privacy setting on that activity. You can do that by clicking the lock icon to the left of the Share button. When the popup menu appears, select Everyone. Note that you have to change this setting for each existing activity you'd like others to see.

If you want all of your future activities to be sharable by default, you'll want to change your privacy settings. Note that this will only affect activities that you upload *after* the setting is changed.

I am also a first time user. Wondering what gets shared when you 'share'? I am wanting to share the course map but not necessarily the time, pace etc?
  • Everything gets shared. It's basically a link to the webpage of the activity.
