If the Share button is greyed out, you need to change the privacy setting on that activity. You can do that by clicking the lock icon to the left of the Share button. When the popup menu appears, select Everyone. Note that you have to change this setting for each existing activity you'd like others to see.
If you want all of your future activities to be sharable by default, you'll want to change your privacy settings.
