Dear All,
Having just purchased my Approach S6 and duly following the manual.
Connected the device to my computer.
Installed the Garmin express and followed the on-screen instructions. Under the update section within the Garmin express windows It was offering to update to latest software which I did.
Unplugged the watch and turned it on. The screen flashes up with an updating software, the bars runs all the way up and then it stays there with a full black bar with the words saying validating software...nothing else happens. I can't access any of the menues. The only thing I can do is to turn off the watch and open it again and then it does the exactly same thing!!!!
I have tried connecting and reconnecting a trillion times on the garmen express window and via the web browser etc. signed up everywhere but nothing has helped..
If anyone else has had the same issues or knows how to fix this please let me know? Very disappointed forking out a fortune and then having to face all this. If I can't find a solution today its going back.
I got it working!!! for some reason there is a big difference in how you connect the USB to your computer. The watch has to turned on before you plug the usb into the computer. Dont ask me why but for some reason it only works with the sync etc that way. It doesnt mention that on the manual. If someone experience what i just did for the last 2 days hopefully they will find my post and save themselves some time..
