Garmin Forerunner 610 not detected by Ant Stick anymore.

The whole set up worked flawlessly under Windows XP.

When I bought a new Windows 8.1 laptop, the setup refused to function.

I have updated the software and all that jazz, but the 610 isn't detected by the Ant Stick.

Suggestions?

I've heard from a 610 user that he couldn't get the ANT+ stick to work on WIndows 8, his solution was to use the older webupdater tool. Maybe you can try this, if the solution(s) from Travis are not working.
