Uploading Courses to Connect from Edge 800

I have manually added some courses on my Edge 800 for a charity ride I am doing next week and expected them to synchronise to my Garmin Connect account so I could review them before the ride. The courses all appear fine on my device but despite synchronising numerous times there is no sigh of them in my list of courses on the connect site.
Can someone advise me how this is supposed to work please as it is very frustrating trying to do something really simple.:(

You may have to manually import them. Go to Activities and select Import

Have tried this - as it is a course rather than an activity it does not import. Why is there no course import option, it would seem like a basic requirement for a navigation system!
