Garmin Connect not detecting Activity Type

Garmin Connect appears to have stopped detecting my bike rides as 'Cycling' when I upload via Express from my Fenix 2. This is despite the activities being logged on the device as 'Bike'. Whilst I am able to recategorise from 'Other' to 'Cycling' manually, retrospective categorising means new records are not registered in Connect. I dont want to do yet another device reset if I can avoid it as I will lose all my custom activity pages. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks
