Forerunner 220 not uploading new run to Garmin Connect

Hi,
I have a forerunner 220, which up until this morning was uploading activities to Garmin Connect without any problems. However this morning it will not upload my run, although Garmin Express states that it has synced. I have deleted the device and readied it, also reinstalled Garmin Express as well but nothing seems to work.
Any advice ?

  • Same here. Seems to be an general problem with the garmin servers. Upload to runtastic website works as usual.

  • Usually I upload activities from file (I use Linux, with FR 310XT and a script that download activities in .fit format), but from yesterday I have same problem. I upload on endomondo without any problems. Agree with THEDIRKNESS, seem server problem...
  • I am also having the same problem, I get as far as the uploader displaying all activities with the recent one "uploading" to no end... Maybe we need to try later.
  • I have the same issue. Yesterdays run was all good, Synched via my phone and appeared on GC and Strava. Today, it said it synched to my phone but the activity didn't display. Checked on GC and it didn't show there. Hooked up to Garmin Express via USB dock and tried multiple times but no joy. Weird thing is, I checked Strava and my activity shows there?? Tried synching it back from Strava to GC via Tapiriik but that didn't work either.

    Tried entering the activity manually but the auto calculated pace kept changing from 5:50 min/km to 5.8 when I clicked on save. This resulted in an invalid value error, which there is no way to correct, so couldn't even do it this way.

    Same here with a FR620... hope it's gonna be fixed soon.

    Experiencing same problems with a fenix2 as of this morning 26 August 2014,....
    Software updated to Version 3.8 & Garmin express also downloaded an update this AM,.. so first thought that these were to blame for problems,....but then found this thread and a number of others,....
    I can upload the runs/rides directly to Strava but no joy getting data into GC.
    Also tried a manual upload via "old" http://connect.garmin.com/page/transfer/upload but NO Joy either,... does however confirm that it is a GC problem and not a device issue.

    Hi Paula,

    Did you manage to solve the issue above?? I upgraded the new firmware for my watch and after that it seems to stop syncing. Did you happen to do the same?

    Yes mine is all sorted now ....... I tried again this afternoon and everything downloaded ok. I think there was an issue with Garmin Connect, as a lot of people were having problems, but it seems to have been sorted. Hope you get yours sorted too.
