I have a Garmin 910XT with HRM. A few days ago my HRM started to behave erratically. on switching the 910 on, it used to detect the RM automatically, and then a few days ago, took like 10 mins before it noticed i was wearing a HRM. by this point i had stopped my ride, pulled the strap off my chest, and checked the strap and rewet the contacts. Then my HR would show on the 910 and all was good.
a few days ago, it just stopped connecting altogether. I have washed my strap several times, including like someone suggested, in coke, and replaced the battery. I re-paired the HRM and the 910 detected it straight away. Even saw my HR on the 910 for all of 2 secs. Then nothing.
Before i go out buying stuff like a new HRM strap or a whole new HRM and strap, was hoping someone could advise any other options to try.
