Export Waypoints to Fenix 2 ?

Well it's either so simple, it's stating the obvious, or it just can't be done: How do I transfer (export?) about 950 waypoints I've compiled over the years from my various Vistas, Etrex's, Nuvi's etc to my brand new Fenix 2 ? I have Mapsource, the latest Basecamp (4.3.5) and Garmin Connect (3.7), on Windows 7 and the latest firmware (v3.70) on my Fenix 2. I've tried all the most logical send/receive to device procedures via Basecamp, it then says that the waypoints and tracks and routes are then on the internal memory of the watch itself, but when out on the field it will only show me the three waypoints I have actually made on the fenix2, but not those precious 950 previously collected waypoints. It has successfully and very accurately transferred a 5km hike I did yesterday back to basecamp, instantly however. What am I doing wrong ?
