adding devices to garmin connect

I just purchased the new vivofit so I set it up on garmin connect- and it seems to working just fine... but now I am inspired to connect my Forerunner 10 as well so I can get outputs, maps, etc. from that as well (I bought my Forerunner last year and never bothered to connect it to my computer)... I can see on garmin connect's dashboard that I can switch devices and am given a drop down menu for selecting a new one or selecting a vivofit... but when I select one... nothing happens- and I have the forerunner connected by the USB...
