Adjusting scale on elevation chart

Hi there

How can I adjust the scale on the elevation charts? It appears to default to showing -50 - +50 metres. The hills I run do not go below sea level (0) and only up to about 35m, so having the scale go from 0-50 would be preferred.

Thanks
  • Drag out a selection box over the graph with your mouse on the graph. Works very well for me.
  • If you are talking about the graphs on the activities detail page, you can drag out a selection window with your mouse and look at a particular section in more detail. This adjusts the x,y scale roughly to how you drag out the box.

oooh! I didn't know that! Yes, this helps a lot with the above problem. Thanks!

You are probably already aware, but if you hover the mouse over a particular point on the graph, you get a fly-out with the data numbers. If only Garmin Connect would show that particular point on the course map corresponding to where the mouse is on the graph, then I'd say they've got that part right.
  • Good morning:

Is the scale on the elevation profile for an activity adjustable? I rode a route called the "route to Nepal" and it shows generally flat. Can I narrow down the range on the scale so the elevation change is more accurately reflected?

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
  • No you cant - this is one of the many features I've been after for a while now. I would like it on all the graphs, Elevation, Pace, heart rate. I don't tend to find I do too much running at 100metres BELOW sea level. I assume you have used the zoom feature?
  • I'm looking at two activities with elevation ranges of 209-220 and 161-295. The charts have ranges of 150-250, -100-400. Of course those ranges could be better (199 to 230 and 151 to 305), but it doesn't seem that the values are that bad.

You can zoom in by clicking and dragging across the chart to select the area of interest.

  • Does anybody know how to scale the elevation axis in the elevation profile? I live at ~ 5000 feet and so every run looks almost totally flat. It used to scale the elevation axis automatically but now the elevation seems to start at 0 with no adjustment possible. Zooming in affects both axes but that doesn't work very well either.

    Thanks!
  • Hi,

Is there a way to show the elevation graph without the negative values (as everything I do is all above sea level). Or at least get it to Auto Scale with a set minimum ?

    Thanks

In gramin connect (also the modern view) the scale of the elevation graph is completley off. On most of my rides I have a elevation gain/loss of about +-50m when the scale is fixed at 0-200m this gives me a very non informative graph. Could the scale be dynamic or something smaller?

+1 the scale is much to big/brought, please lower it to get a meaningful graph.
