Help - can't upload course to fenix 2 for tomorrow's ultrarun

I've been trying for an hour to upload an ultrarun course that I am running tomorrow and Garmin Connect keeps telling me no compatible devices are connected. I have tried modern and classic, I have also deleted history off the fenix in case it was full but still no joy. I have 100k off road to run tomorrow, and I am concerned I won't have the route.

can anyone help?

    I'm trying to "send to device" from Garmin Connect and CANNOT EVEN SEE a "send to device" link. What is going on?
  • This new version does not seem to work for me - I also get the message - no device connected when it has just synced the thing!!!

    I have the same issue with the modern interface, but the classic worked for me. http://connect.garmin.com/courses It did require me to update to the latest version of the garmin communicator.

    I'm trying to upload my first course to my fenix 2 and it doesn't work for me. I first tried to upload this from my pc, so I have my F2 plugged in, updated and everything. From garmin connect I hit send course to device and nothing happens. So I go to garmin express where I decide to sync it from there thinking that this will get the course to the watch. After a suspiciously long time for a sync I unplug it and I still don't have any tracks in my Navigate menu....so now I'm thinking ok, there must be something wrong with the upload when connected to PC, so I try to do this via garmin connect on my iphone 5. I pair the watch with the phone, go to the app, go to courses, send to device and the thing starts to sync....it takes ages, the blue bar at the bottom never goes to the end and at some point the sync fails. I've tried this a couple of times and no success, my tracks menu is still empty...
    FYI, I managed to do my trail without the course on my watch. After the trail I synced it with the phone again. The app was able to pick the last trail I did but when I tried to send the course again, the sync failed again. My app is up to date as well.
    Any ideas?
