Unable to link Montana 650 to Connect

I don't seem to be able to link my 650 to Connect. Garmin Express sees it, but I have no option to link to Connect, nor can Connect see it even with the Firefox plugin installed. Latest versions of firmware and all software.

You can't, you'll need to manually upload from your Montana.

So much for it being listed as compatible on their website. Outright lie. You'd think one of their top end units would be compatible.

Sorry, where does it say you can automatically sync a Montana with Connect?

AFAIK the statement is "All Garmin sport devices, including fitness and golf, are compatible with Garmin Connect", nothing about handhelds being fully compatible?

The specs page of the Montana says: "Garmin Connect™ compatible (online community where you analyze, categorize and share data):Yes"
Strictly speaking this also applies to manual upload, but you might expect that it includes auto sync...
