Garmin Connect Tortoise & Hare
Former Member
Several months ago I purchased the Garmin Forerunner 620, at first things were really good but since Garmin updated their technology and removed the tortoise and hares from the feature which is very disappointing as other members of the group fully agree with this sentiment. The other thing I don't like about the 620 is that you can't set up running courses for your preparations for those training for a 5k and 10K runs moving up to a half marathon and to a full marathon. I can't understand why they bring watch out without these kinds of setting, so Garmin needs to rethink before bringing out new products before adding the new features to the watch.:confused:
I'm not sure what you are talking about when you refer to the tortoise and hare feature, so I can't comment on that. As for the training plans, you can either use one of the provided training plans, or you can manually create workouts and add them to your training calendar. Once you've got the calendar filled out like you want, you can upload the scheduled workouts to your 620.
The only problem that I see is that users don't have a facility to create training plans to share with others. I'm sure it can be done by interacting with the web service API, but this is something that Garmin should provide IMO.
I see the thread is titled "Garmin Connect Moving Time" but the post is about the 620 and "tortoise and hares"? What is the "tortoise and hares" feature?

I'm somewhat confused what this thread is about... It's called Garmin Connect Moving Time, but then the posts are about either complaints about other 620 features or other Garmin connect features. Which both seem to be off topic...
