Multiple Devices in Garmin Connect

Hi Users
I hope you can help me with this issue as this will decide which whatch I am going to buy. It is rather banal but actually I cant find an answer to this.

Can I assign two different devices to the same GC acoount? In my case I would by the FR220 and the Garmin Swim.

Thanks for your help

Cheers

Toby
  • You don't really assign devices in Garmin Connect. You just send whatever activity files you have from any device that produces files Garmin Connect can use. Most of Garmin's devices put their device type in the file. So when you view the data on GC, you'll see what device it came from.

If you use Garmin Express to send your data to Garmin Connect, then you configure in Garmin Express what GC account that device's data gets sent to. It's happy to send all devices to the same GC account. However if share your device, it becomes a little complicated sending data from one device to different GC account.

All the other fitness sites I use let you send data from multiple devices to the same account also. You don't have to let GC be your only fitness site, if you look at others you'll find they do some things better. None of them do everything though, so I find my self using several.

I own both a FR 220 and a Swim. I have both connected to Garmin Express, and both connected to the same account in Garmin Connect.
