Sharing workouts always shows in metric?

Whenever I share a workout on Facebook, whether directly from garmin or by copying and pasting the link, the snapshot on Facebook shows in statue, but if you click on the link. It shows distance and elevation in metric. I know there is a link in the upper right hand corner, and it still says "view in metric" (like it's not already in metric). I click in it to view in metric, nothing changes, click back to "view in statute" and distances and elevation are still in metric. I realize the US is the oddball here, but is there any way to have this show in miles? Thanks!

Have we found a solution yet? I posted a run just now to Facebook and I like the statute measurements that we use in the US. I have everything displayed that way but the post on Facebook is Metric. Anyone know how to change it?

I am also experiencing the same problem. It would be great if Garmin would acknowledge the issue.

Seriously what is going on? This is totally ruining my Gramin experience.
  • Really? Ruining your experience? That's a bit strong.

Not sure if you guys are saying the same thing or whether it's a Facebook issue. One of you wants it in miles, the others in metric? Connect has the option to switch and shows it correctly for me. Once it leaves Garmin it's possibly out of their hands.

When I share the link from my workout it converts it from miles to KM. Sometimes it changes languages.

It doesn't let the person I share the link with change it to anything other than KM. So yes, this is a bug and hasn't been an issue until this week. I went back and tested it with some of my older activities and it converts all of them to KM.

I have the same or similar issue. Starting sometime last week, every time I share an activity to FB it defaults to metric units instead of my preference which is miles. It used to work fine and now it is broken!

Click the link and it is in miles. It is just the FB posting that is wrong.

I gave up trying to figure it out and now share through Strava.

    It works perfect every time.

On a side note, I submitted a PM to the appropriate person a few days ago to change my user name from my personal email address.

How long does that usually take?

I have the same issues -- my preferences are set in miles but the link in my email shows kilometers. There are also some folks who receive my emailed link and complain that the language automatically changes. Is all Brazil nuts to me.

I wanted to state that I also have the same issues, maybe if enough people post with this problem, Garmin might fix it. When logged into my account, everything is shown in miles, however, when I share my run via Facebook, the link is always in metric units to the individuals that view it.
